Morsel Transcendentalism and the Challah Metaphor

Dr. Wraxtiorre said: I am trying to imagine Charles Manson guest-hosting the Lawrence Welk show, mass serial homicides in a cloud of bubbles in front of that amazing orchestra playing Big Band hits like nobody’s business amid a spraying cloud of blood and bone fragments. . . .

Nope, I just can’t stomach it. If Peanut butter and bananas were meant to be together, they would be growable in the same climate! “If God had meant for us to put stuff on bagels, he would have invented cream cheese!” But Mr. Wonka! He did!

Hmmmm...a world in which Evil is inseparable from Goodness? Well, I can't discuss the Christian ramifications of such a notion, everybody believes the two to be polar opposites in Chrustianity! I mean, anything that has any portion of Evil is considered to be entirely Evil, and anything (or anybody who has an ounce of Goodness is considered to be entirely redeemed. I mean, the only thing that is wrong with intolerance is the way it tastes in candies--I can't stand it! “Uh-oh! The Chocolate Easter Bunny is turning into a Transcendental Metaphor. “My, he’s beginning to look pretty tasty growing into the morselly goodness of transcendentalism!”

According to most Wiccan beliefs, there is no such thing as Evil in Nature, only human actions governed by intent. We humans tend to think that carnivores who eat humans are evil, but to them, we are no more special than any other kind of meat. We do that to cows, but we do not consider ourselves evil. It is simply a case of human arrogance and hypocrisy getting the better of our morals. Or is this distinction of morselly transcendentalism a mere semantic issue? Did we invent the notion of Evil in order to provide a contrast to our notions of goodness? Is goodness a higher principle than the appreciation of a great-tasting meatloaf? Is there a HE L L in every religion ruled by a red-skinned, goat-hoofed, ram-horned, spike-tailed daemon who doesn’t like it when you call him Norman?

But does that mean that we invented Goodness, as well? Say, Mr. Chocolate Easter Bunny, you’re looking more and more tasty growing into the morselly goodness of transcendentalism!

[“Rewrite! Rewrite!” The author sprinted through the kitchen, waving a manuscript in the air above his head as he ran, twisting and side-stepping through the thick crowd of cooks and dishwashers.

“Oh, no.” The baker dropped several strings of bread-dough on the cheesecloth that was spread out before him. “The six strands are supposed to be braided, in theory . . . “ He turned askew, glancing furtively at the oven door which bellowed with occasional clouds of smoke. “What is Challah, anyway?”

Jesus stepped up to the window and put his hand on the baker’s shoulder. “Calm down, my son. The tangles of your bread-like substance will render it inedible.”

The Baker’s hands dropped in dejection. ”huh?”]

[“Rewrite! Rewrite!” The author sprinted through the kitchen, waving a manuscript in the air above his head as he ran, twisting and side-stepping through the thick crowd of cooks and dishwashers.

The Baker shrugged diffidently, causing Jesus’ hand to fall to his side. “But what you are saying is the every purely Good thing that we claim to be doing is tainted by some hint of evil in it, like a dash of pepper in your morselly transcendentalism.”

Jesus chuckled. ”I wonder where that came from. I never said those two words together like that. But I do find it amusing.”

The Baker looked down at the partly tangled strands of bread-dough. “But what of it? How would things be different if Good and Evil weren’t inseparably entangled.”

Jesus grabbed the Baker’s shoulder thoughtfully. “Aw, come on. A little disentanglement is good for the soul, isn’t it? You know I could never fall for that!”

The Baker glanced over his shoulder fearfully.

Jesus continued. ”Throw some onion in that, and you will find its recipients much more hungry for it.”]

Follow-up Emails

Here are the emails fro the un-named source of the Conspiracy Theorist's original rant.  His intended perspective was not portrayed in my story as clearly as he wished.  However, his criticisms did not include a review of the "Putting on a Show" episode.  He is reviewing the entire text in order to suggest final revisions for the book's publication, so the jury is still out the source's conclusion.  These emails provided the supporting details which ended up being included in the story.  Note that some of my material interpolated into the Escaped Lunatic's dialogue came from my responses and suggestions. Note also that the responses give a perspective on the composition of the story.  Fair warning:  There is some profanity in these original texts.

Subject: 2nd try
Hey Todd... I started writing to you & thought I'd lost it, but I came back thinking it might have saved (in my email) & here it was! So I'll just continue it...

I read it, & Iiked it! But it was actually kinda scary reading what I'd posted word for word lmao!! So I was going to suggest that you modified it a bit to make it fit better, which I gathered from your most recent message is what you're doing(?). I'm curious about how it's going to unfold, maybe I can help? I don't know... I thought it was going to be a lot longer, but you said that was half of it?

Okay, as far as the underlying message... I hope we're on the same page here lol! It's not an argument against conspiracy theories, or conspiracy theorists per se... You'd probably have to be one in order to fully understand what I'm trying to say, but I'll try to nutshell it lol!

Well, okay, a brief summary & then I'll go on & tell you as much info as I think I should. Basically the only thing I'm personally against is this whole "fight the system" mentality. Because that's what they want. They need people to fight the system in order to bring about the changes they need to control everyone and everything through one entity, or one government. That's why all these facts are leaking out. It's all being done systematically to cause a reaction, and they're close! Look at all the "peaceful protests" going on. Now, peaceful protests aren't bad, but if you notice it seems as though they want people to fight. Have you heard all the reports of cops harassing people & spraying them with pepper spray & all that? Just my opinion though; I'll keep stressing I stopped looking into it all when I found out they were purposely trying to get people to fight the system. Also (another opinion), if people refuse to fight no matter what this could actually turn out good... Anyway, here we go...

Most of what conspiracy theorists talk about is actually true. There's technology to modify the weather. They can create earthquakes, storms, hurricanes, the works. They can also destroy hurricanes before they reach land btw (if they wanted to). They can listen in on you through your phone even when your phone is off (fox news actually reported on this years ago; you can probably still pull it up on youtube), there's been a plan (project bluebeam) to use hologram technology to stage an extraterrestrial invasion for the main purpose of uniting the whole world under one government (so all the recent ufo sightings I'm guessing are probably holograms. I don't know, I stopped looking into all of it a while back). Oh, and this was also going to be used to portray images (holograms) of certain religious figures in an attempt to get everyone to accept a new religion (long story, as is most of the stuff I will mention). They're at least 20 years ahead of anything we've ever seen technology wise. I'd give you specific examples, but I... forgot lol! It's been that way for a long time though.

Okay, this is the part where I'd stopped... Not even sure where I was going now lmao!

Okay, so the basic picture is they're putting out facts because they want people to fight the system. The people pulling the strings are practically invisible, and they know us better than we know ourselves in certain ways... In other words, they pretty much have everything controlled, and whoever we fight are not going to be the main players. It'll be our governments, our corporations, our police, our military... We'll fight ourselves before we fight them. Because we're pretty much operating from a feeling of anger & frustration bed by all the information that's leaked & what happened to the economy. Oh, the economy was crashed on purpose as well btw. I mean there is a ton of shit you can get into really... but it's pretty much useless & might even be detrimental once you know what's really going on.

So... shit gets bad, people revolt, and then THEY offer us solutions making it seem like it's us doing it. Or a party in complete opposition to them. That's why I advised that you keep from joining any movements and things like that. Because even if the movement itself was not started by them, if it's big enough they'll infiltrate it & guide it towards a different end. They're better at all this stuff than we give them credit for. I think that's another mistake conspiracy theorists make. They think "Oh yeah, we've busted them" or "We're winning" when they have us exactly where they want us. I think now I'm just ranting lmao! Sorry... I'm on meds right now btw :/ I'm not even gonna proof read this, just ask if u want more info on something...

Oh! I forgot about this, but when I was reading this it occurred to me you might want to hear something... The whole field of psychiatry is a bs science. I wish I had some sources to point you to, but... I probably do buried somewhere in my email... But yeah, it's a bogus science. They've never cured anyone, and what they use for diagnosis is also... ridiculous. Many of the patients in mental institutions are actually victims of government mind control. Look up MK Ultra if you've never heard of it. Program never stopped. They still do it all the time. It's just more well hidden. One time this Dr (I believe a psychiatrist of some sort) conducted an experiment where he rounded up I think 8 people and told them that each was gonna go to a different mental institution around the country and he told them that the only thing they were going to say was wrong with them was they heard a voice in their head. Well, a specific word, but that was it. Other than that they were supposed to act completely normal. So they all went, including himself, to a different place, and they all got accepted. They took a series of tests and even though the only thing that should've been an oddity was the fact that they heard that voice/word in their heads. Once inside they tried to convince the staff that they were not crazy & they wouldn't let them out! No matter how normal they acted. The guy who conducted the experiment figured out that the only way to convince them was to act crazy, but act as if the treatment was helping him improve... Eventually he was let out and he got the others out. It went public & of course it didn't sit well with the industry. An institution then challenged the him to send someone else into their institution (undercover) and that next time they'd definitely spot him. Months later the institution said they'd identified I think 24 fakes (it was in the 20's)... But it turned out he hadn't sent anyone. After that they changed their system, but obviously it's still a bs system. After that is actually when they came up with ADHD & other personality disorders which are bs as well... I don't know, I thought you could do something with that info.

What else... I feel like crap lol!

EL,
Yep, it came out pretty scary, and I know that it sounds wildly anti-conpiracy-ish, but it needs to be a bit wacked-out for people to read it.  What I sent you was slightly less than half of your original posting, so, yes, there is more to work with.  What I am aiming for as it unfolds is two-fold.

Narratively, it needs to feel like a discrediting of conspiracy theorists so that non-conspiracy theorists will read it thinking they will have their literal (conventional) beliefs defended by its mocking tone, but all the while is will be feeding that fear which is usually considered the fuel that drives conspiracy theorists along in their passionate drive to convince people to "wake the fuck up" and do something--which is precisely what the Powers-that-be are pushing us all to do.  I liked that you ended one of the later paragraphs with the expression "You'll keep having realization after realization."  It's like the revelations of conspiracy theory research cause an endorphin rush in much the same way that religious passions do--which goes hand in hand with your description of how this is designed to function like a religion.  The scary fear factor in the narrative stylings encourage the reader to participate with that expression rather than just see it explained.  So, the thing that is scary about it is not your words, but the dynamic narrative (slight as it is) around them.

Literally in content, I will be having the arguments that reveal how the powers-that-be are pushing us all towards a massive reaction/revolt/uprising and the fact that spreading conspiracy theory reports (as well as following them in the endorphin-rushed frenzy) may seem like a successful effort to indict/incriminate the powers-that-be, but all it leads you to is the revolt that they are encouraging so that they can install this world government which would dissolve regionalism and cultural identity, basically turning people more into sheep than we already are.  I want to keep my research links connected to mainstream and stable sites like wikipedia (not wiki-leaks) and mainstream newsmedia websites--although I have already seen reports in the past ceasing to say what they said when they were newsworthy (in the "Social Networking & Anti-Consumerism" I found that the articles about Boycott BP's deletion did not contain the contradictory details that they contained when they were first published),

But basically, what I wanted to portray is that conspiracy research becomes a mere endorphin rush addiction, and that common sense not guided by media hoopla will educate you better than the non-lies planted by the powers-that-be (because they know the path they will lead you on, and the facts that they feed you will only goad you into looking further in search of more endorphin-rush-based research)--realization after realization.  It just keeps you busy until you become so entranced by it that people will think you are crazy because of the way you sound before even beginning to listen to you.

Also, here is my take on the whole movements thing.  Movements are furthered by gatherings, which become protests (however peaceful they may attempt to be), police presence results in posturing and confrontations, stand-offs result in shoving, riot-gear, rock-throwing, tear-gas, assaults, night-sticks, and eventually mass arrests.  It becomes the problem it tried to prevent.  Another difficulty with movements is that they are usually started by a particular person who has one issue, and once that person gets followers, other issues are added to the platform, somebody leader-like takes charge and makes it about his(or her) issue instead of the original issue, and it becomes something totally other than what it was when it started.  The Tea Party is a prime example of that.  The pre-Bolshevik revolutionaries started out that way--read Chernyshevsky's What's to be done?  and Dostoevsky's Devils.  The first book is piss-poor narration, but it paints a pretty picture--it's the world that Dostoevsky's characters wanted to re-invent, but the Stavrogin factor in Dostoevsky's book really gets scary after reading Chernyshevsky.

Subject: The Rosenhan Experiment

EL,
I told my wife about the anecdotal way of portraying the Rosenhan Experiment, and it seemed to be the best way to portray it--in other words, tell the first half straight-faced with both sides presented, and then tell the second half with only the other side presented and let the reader/listener infer the conclusion from the mysterious punchline--"He hadn't sent any pseudo-patients the second time." I'll see about getting the actual Rosenhan article and reviewing it as well--it might give me better insight to the controversy.
Three things I realized about interpolating this incident: First, it shows off very clearly the argument about institutionalization and the need to fear it. Second, it can be used to show the inappropriate relationship between the efforts of activism and the actual consequences of activism. I'm not sure how it will pan out, but I will share it with you before I post it again. Really, I'll put your reservations to rest with this. I had been concerned about your fear that I was simply dissing Conspiracy Theorists, but I wasn't sure how to turn it into a portrayal of the Oedipus thing (The attempt to run away from self-destruction results in causing it) .
The third thing it will show off--in the way I present the polyphonic content as being spoken by different people--is how a selected portion of the facts can paint a VERY different picture than the whole truth (with ALL the facts).

So I'm guessing you posted it already? I would definitely change the wording on my part, but I might just feel that way because it was just a post on facebook... If it was for something like this I would have described it differently... & definitely would have re-worded it.

This isn't the whole thing though, right? What's everything you got?

EL,
Sorry about sending this without any explanation, but it was after 2AM and I was quick to go to bed after hammering it out.  This section proved difficult, because of my effort to intercut the whole Rosenhan summary and the Catch-22 excerpt, and make them the stronger parts of the scene while not letting the reader forget that they are the second and third elements of it.  Also, much to my frustration, this scene used ALOT less of your original text than I did before.  I used screenshots from the movie that I got from another blogsite which discusses the film from the DVD commentary--I thought that including that last shot of Alan Arkin looking sideways from the hospital bed was especially effective right after the Rosenhan summary comes to an end.  I fixed a few typoes and made a few slight changes this morning.  Let me know what you think--I'll post it tonight.

EL,
Here is the third part of the article, fully fleshed out.  I probably won't post it until Sunday Night, but I'll review it for typos and errors on Monday.  So, even if you can't suggest your desired revisions until Monday, I will still be able to make those corrections when I re-upload my revisions.  It's coming out a bit rougher than I had hoped, but I would like to give some more shine when I present Dr. Blight's hypothesis behind the study involving the Escaped Lunatic.  So, you will see in Part Four that only Dr. Blight sees the Escaped Lunatic as crazy, and even that can be suggested as a means to an end instead of a professional diagnosis.  I've been thinking about looking for a picture to use in this one, and all I can come up with is to find a picture of the Twin Towers, but I don't feel quite so right about that.  As with Part Two, highlight the segments that you do not like, and suggest in a separate email (or above the entire text) what it is that you don't like about the segment--you can even suggest what the rewrite should say.  But don't just give me an uneasiness based on a vague desire to reword it somewhere (without specifying where).  Tell me where.

Hey ... So sorry I haven't gotten back to you. To be honest I haven't read the last portions you sent me. I don't know if you know, but I do real estate on the side. I recently started working with a couple of investors & they're working me pretty hard. So whenever I have time I usually just lay back and say stupid things on fb or something of the sort lmao! I haven't really been doing any research/reading, etc... After so much paperwork the last thing I wanna do is read into something. But I hadn't written back because I was going to wait until I read it to get back to you.

As far as what you said about you coming out & saying it... My point was that what I wrote was a stupid rant. Just trying to open peoples' eyes so they could look further into the fact that even though the media's all bs and there's a whole system in place designed to feed us bs, it doesn't necessarily mean that the explanation they've gotten of what's really going on behind the veil is the truth. It's the only explanation they've been handed so they've chosen to run with it.

Really what I meant was just that in the context of what you're doing... I mean if I was to write it as the lunatic in the story I would have written it completely different. Because l think (& I might be wrong, but this is the way I would have done it) that you're trying to convey the message that "Hey, this guy is probably not as crazy at he sounds", right? To the audience? But there are certain phrases, or words in it that kind of give the impression that... Yeah, he probably is just crazy... lol! So I would have definitely tweaked it.

I will get to it eventually though.

Okay, I was afraid that you were horribly offended by it.  I'm so relieved, because I wasn't looking forward to a massive rewrite.  Okay, so I get the feeling that I kinda did portray the intent that you wanted, that not everything out there is truthful--or literally factual--and on the other hand, most of the stuff out there is real, it's just got spin on it.  And it needed to make the Escaped Lunatic seem crazy so that the reader would trust the label, and then in the fourth part (the part you haven't read yet) his insanity gets debunked and it turns out that the doctor has used the label of "insane" improperly.  But what bothers you is that the Escaped Lunatic actually does sound a little insane.  Okay, gimme the tweaks (when you get around to it) and I'll make the changes--judiciously--when I put the whole article in its own page.  I still have to get them to find Saint Sixedog (a character from the Behemoth Saga) and get him released from the hospital and then do the Tilapia Fricassee thing which will result in the Reality-show portrayal (which I will conclude by having one of the characters getting assassinated in the TV broadcast--that should be highly controversial).  Just remember, the Homeless Man is crazier than the Escaped Lunatic!

But, yeah, Real Estate stuff.  Yep, that's a pile of paperwork.  I can understand your aversion to more reading when doing that kind of stuff.  Take your time, my friend.  It's getting harder and harder to finish this having the reportable content staying connected to the storyline, so I'll be working this out for some time anyway.  Besides, I still need to write the Bank Recon essay before people start looking into my other blog and finding it empty.

P.S.  I noticed that you haven't bought a copy of Mangled Doves yet!  Christmas is just around the corner--perfect time to share pictures of the peace dove getting shot with an arrow!

Subject: The Whole Text

I'll bet that it's weird to receive an email with your own words in it, so here goes:

Damn, enter key! I wasn't done... I do want to clarify something I'm not sure I did before... It wasn't "Anti-conspiracy theorists"...

I mean anti conspiracy theorist usually implies you're "for" the government, and that's not the case at all. The information is all there if you ever look into that stuff. It's the direction most people are going with it. These are mainly people who didn't even know what a conspiracy theorist was until all this information started coming out. The people who had the information pretty much "handed to them". Someone shared something, or it was a popular or featured video on youtube, etc. These aren't the guys who researched anything before 9/11. They're the ones who got the "formatted" story, in a way.

All in all it was an attempt at explaining to these people that the information can be factual, but that doesn't mean they have the concept right. Or the story, or direction. & I'm not sure how well you understand that, but for example, you will find that most conspiracy theorists (nowadays) support Ron Paul. They actually think that THAT'S the answer. Or at least part of it. Missing the whole point completely. They're actually helping the agenda.

Anyway, I guess if you get that, you get it. No need for me to keep writing on it lol!

The Actual Conspiracy Theorist Rant, Part One

This is for all conspiracy theorists. I'm not sure how everyone's going to take this or how many of you know (I don't really hear much talk about it) and I'm not sure how in-depth I want to go on a wall post about it, but either way... Keep an open mind. You might react to this the same way people react to you when you talk to them about conspiracies...

It was all a setup. The plan was/is to get people to revolt so that they can impose a police state, or a "new world order". I'll attempt to explain (if I confuse you or if you have something to say go ahead & say it, I'm not the best at explaining things so... my bad).

Why do you think so much information started “leaking” out? You think it was whistle blowers and whoever, but in reality it was purposely put out there. Or “let” out. There have been people speaking against the system for a really long time. All of a sudden (after 9/11) all this stuff (some of it which had been suppressed for many years) starts coming out?? As “conspiracy theorists” most of us fail to realize or to look into certain things. One of the things we tend to overlook is how much control the PTB's really have. And it's right in front of our faces. How many times have we heard that all major/mainstream media is owned by the same small group of individuals? Yet you see information slowly making its way into CNN, ABC, FOX and the like, & websites owned by major media companies and we think that they don't want this information to get out??? Do you know how controlled all that stuff is??? If they don't want it out, it's not getting out. At least not at that scale.

So basically what's happening is this whole conspiracy thing has been engineered to function somewhat like a religion. Where they feed you certain facts (things that are true), but they twist the story around. Or they just tell you half the story. Or twisted facts. I mean a lot of the information is actually true. Only the facts though, not so much the story behind them or what is really going on “with” these facts, or the real reasons behind them. And if you notice most conspiracy theorists have pretty much the same beliefs and the same mentality (you're being programmed just like everyone else). Pay attention to that. I started realizing this when I ran across a couple of friends of mine who had gotten into all this. I realized we were pretty much going down the same track, learned about the same things, and ended up with the same views. You learn about HAARP, underground bases, aliens, chemtrails, the intervention theory, international bankers, the fed, AIDS, vaccines, shit they put in our food & water, the list goes on and on and on and on... Another thing you notice is, just like religious people, we tend to start thinking we're better than other people, and even if not so much “better” we tend to look down upon or feel somewhat hostile towards people because they won't “open their eyes” or they'll refuse to listen or to look into anything.

One huge giveaway (that it was all set up) was the whole 911 thing, which is what jump-started this whole “movement” or whatever you want to call it (don't join any “movements” btw, don't even get me started on that)...

Nobody thinks about why or how they could have been so stupid to leave so much evidence behind. They could pull off an operation of that scale perfectly, but they can't cover up their tracks? It was stupid. Understand that mind control has been at the top of their list ever since Egyptian times. By now they know how we work and how many categories of people there are (psychological categories), and what percentage of the population fits what category and all that.

What I'm trying to get at is the way they planted the evidence (and/or left the evidence behind) they knew that only the people close to it would pick up on it. And how (with THEIR assistance) the information would be then filtered out to the general public. AND they knew that initially a small percentage of people would pick up on it and run with it. Most people wouldn't. Little by little that starts growing and eventually (at least this was the plan) people would start a revolution.
They scare people into thinking that things are gonna get really bad. Like people are gonna be shot in front of our homes and dragged into concentration camps and all our privacy is being stripped away so that we react and want to do something about it (another thing is they know full well that not all people are going to revolt LOL! It wouldn't work that way. I mean they have their hardcore TV addicted zombies that are never gonna change)... Where was I...
Also note how more and more instances of police brutality are being deliberately shown to the public. They want to enrage people.
If you're smart enough you know that “fighting” the system will never work. The system will fall apart when everyone wakes up and does absolutely nothing. & they need resistance to bring about change. If they can't get people to revolt it's gonna be really hard to transition us into a new world order or a police state. Note also how many movies have been put out throughout time where there's an underground society, in many films it's actually called “the resistance”, who fights the system and wins. So picture (this is just hypothetical) a huge riot. & if you've researched what happened to president Chavez you know that more than likely it would be instigated by the CIA. CIA personnel are strategically placed (posing as civilians) in certain spots to do certain things (maybe they “accidentally” shoot an old lady during the riot or something). What happens after that? No more guns for the general public. Just like that.
Of course the plan is much bigger than that. Another huge “tool” they've been using is the FED. The monetary system as it exists really can't hold up much longer. We're not the only country who has a central bank lol! It's at the point where they have to introduce a new type of system. How to do that? Make it seem like “the people” did it. Give the people a politician (Ron Paul?) who speaks against this instead of having the system collapse by itself and have people WAKE THE FUCK UP and actually take matters into their own hands and do something about it, and support him and see what solutions he has to offer and back all his decisions up (just because you think he's a good guy). Problem/reaction/solution.
Always look at 2 sides of the coin. & always look further. Take that advice. I went years without wanting to listen to anything that went against what I thought I was uncovering. Again, most of the actual facts are true. And yes, some things are pretty fucked up. And there will be instances where people get arrested (& worse) for merely speaking against the government, but this is to hold up the belief that there's something really wrong going on here, and to get people angry. I can tell you that a lot of conspiracy theories have flaws. Big ones. And you should look into these flaws. I seriously dropped all my “conspiracy” research maybe a couple of years ago, but before then I researched a lot. So if you want to attempt to debunk this or you have a question as to why something is going on & how it fits in this whole thing we can get into it for a bit.

For now just remember that anyone going around “scaring” people is just playing into their game. Whether they know it or not. They have their players (like Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura, and all the “known” conspiracy theorists), and they also have their puppets. The ones who are fed information without knowing that they're actually helping the agenda by feeding all these facts to the public. Anyone who advises people to fight are supporting their agenda (knowingly or unknowingly). Movements and movies that got a fuckload of attention (like 911 truth movement, zeitgeist, loose change, etc) are all part of the same agenda as well.
Dig deep and you'll find MANY things that will make you think. You'll find flaws left and right. There are A LOT of them... I mean once you start seeing what's going on you realize how much shit doesn't make sense and how much of it actually does, so you'll keep having realization after realization.

Also, fuck I just realized I skipped some stuff... I don't know how many of you have gotten into any of this type of stuff (& if you haven't after reading this section you'll probably think I'm full of shit now lmao!)...
Okay, the system is designed to keep you within a certain frequency range, because that's the frequency range that their systems have been designed to work with. So they can easily control you when you're within that range. Radiowaves, television, & HAARP (via elf waves) among other things, affect our frequencies. The news media gathers up the worst shit around the world and conveniently places it all in one spot, all in front of your face, and (being that TV was originally designed to keep you in a trance or hypnotic state) this helps keep you at that frequency. Being scared and/or worried keeps you trapped in a certain frequency range and keeps you trapped in this whole matrix that they have control of. So yet another purpose for this whole fear-mongering campaign to keep people afraid from the government & the illuminati, and the ruling families and so on and so forth, is to keep you vibrating at a certain frequency. And if you believe there was going to be a massive collective conscious awakening or whatever (I'm 100% sure I believe it or not), this would make it harder for that to happen as well. In my opinion there are things worth looking into, but there are so many lies out there. It's like they've manufactured a story for anything you try to get into, and since you don't know any better & nobody's ever talked to us about any of this shit we run with it. Remember something only has to be repeated 3 times for you to start believing it. Whether it's true or not.

More Inappropriate Pictures on Hospital Walls

The Unknown Man jogged down the hall and turned the corner towards the kitchen, leaving me and Dr. Jeremy Wraxtiorre, the under-rated celebrity of physics and philosophy, standing there in the hallway with Dr. Eppie Blight and the Escaped Lunatic, who were watching in confusion at the TV Host and the Cameraman. The frenetic gesticulations were lost on them, indicating that their aggressions and hostility were making good television and that the two should continue to enact such behaviors.  The Homeless Man merely stood there looking on with half-glazed eyes, and sheepishly opened up the door to allow the Cartoon Dog and Stoic Cat to enter.

As the Cartoon Dog bumped past my leg, I turned from the Steady-Cam's lens and watched the animals excitedly sniffing around the room.  The Cartoon Dog flitted from one side of the room to the other, sniffing noisily at the floorboards.  The Stoic Cat padded carefully across the carpet, sniffing the air suspiciously.  I watched admiringly for a few moments, then allowed my gaze to follow the footprints in the carpet where the Unknown Man had strolled off towards the kitchen.  I half-muttered, "He's right.  We all need a stiff drink."  I grabbed Dr. Wraxtiorre by the scruff of his collar and pulled him towards me.  "Let's all go to the kitchen and get something to drink," I commanded.

The CEO and his wife sprang into step, walking intently down the hall in the direction I was indicating.  The Itinerant Philosopher shrugged and slapped the Homeless Man on the back, stepping past him and following the CEO and his wife down the hall along the path of the footprints left by the Unknown Man.  "It's a shame we didn't make your argument about trust in media journalism more clear," he smugly admonished.  "Your audience deserves to understand the basic dynamics of a facet of their lives which has just taken a dramatic leap into greater complexity."

I hung my head in despair and trudged despairingly down the hall after them.

When the Itinerant Philosopher entered the kitchen's foyer, his eyes fell upon a mesmerizing image.  "Wow."  He stammered.  "What detail!  I can almost see the individual bricks in the walls.  What the hell is that thing?"  He stood in front of the picture, dangling his arms by his sides with his mouth hanging open and a trickle of drool rolling towards his chin.  "It's like a Behemoth!"   He leaned closer to examine the image more carefully.  "It's like High-def TV--I can't even get this good an image on my cablebox with DVR!"  He leaned backward, nearly lost his balance, and stepped backward to keep from falling.  "It's like I'm standing in the footprint of King Kong while he's still standing there, casting his massive shadow on my receding hairline."

Dr. Wraxtiorre, who was standing at the other end of the kitchen's Dining Area beside another photograph, waved his hands at me in a cautionary gesture.  "Shhh, now would be a good time to be careful with your elaborate metaphors."  He pointed at the picture on the wall behind him.  "This guy in this picture is probably the guy who took those pictures, and I don't think he would take very kindly to some of your descriptive expressions!"

I walked in behind the Itinerant Philosopher and sat down in one of the empty booths, ignoring the pictures on the walls and the debate that had begun to swell around them.

Ignoring me, the Itinerant Philosopher stepped sideways along the empty booths, throwing his stare almost bodily into the next picture.  "Where is this?  It looks so bleak!  I mean, you can actually see the raindrops falling across the road!  And, it feels so cold I'm almost tempted to bury my hands in a pair of fluffy woolen gloves to keep them warm!"

The CEO chuckled.  Holding out his hands palms down, he goofily suggested, "Maybe we should get you some cute little fishy gloves in the shape of sharks, so that you can pretend your hands are fighting each other when you wring them together for warmth?"

Dr. Wraxtiorre waved his arm dismissively, as though hushing them.  "I think you guys should really try to control your flippant commentary."

"What?  There's nobody here!  What are you getting so sensitive about?"  The CEO looked around at the tables and booths, the cash registers and order wheels.  They were all still and silent.  The kitchen itself and its dish-washing areas were all abandoned.  "Are they even open?"

Continuing to ignore them, the Itinerant Philosopher hopped aside to the next picture.  "See?  Now this one is good.  A nice cozy street in France, showing the warm comfy booths of a creperie, with the sweet aroma of delicate pastries drifting out into the street.  There's not a hint of modern technology in the picture--no cars in the street, not even a bicycle leaning against a wall."
The Unknown Man strolled into the center of the dining area, lost in thought.  "I have to agree, these are much better pictures than the ones in the hallway.  Who took these?"

The Homeless Man wandered past him, striding straight into the kitchen.  "I don't know," he muttered.  "I'm just wondering why nobody is cooking any food.  I'm famished!"

Dr. Wraxtiorre looked over his shoulder and answered, "It's that guy, Trey Ratcliff, from the StuckinCustoms website.  He's a successful photographer who travels around the world taking pictures of exotic locations, and he's also the author of the famous HDR Tutorial and a book called A World in HDR.

The Itinerant Philosopher backed across the middle of the dining area and spun around to look at another picture.  He swayed on his heels as he gazed at the clouds in the Texas skies over Austin, the puffs of smoke blossoming behind the spreading explosions, and the partiers in the boats on the river with their running lights shining on the water.  He stepped backward, covering his mouth with his hands.  He gasped.  "It's so celebratory!  I wish everybody could buy a calendar with these pictures in it!"

Still looking at the one photo in the room not taken by Trey Ratcliff--because he was the subject in it--Dr. Wraxtiorre exhaled dismissively.  "Ugh.  I can see that I haven't taught you anything about product placement yet, have I?"

The CEO stepped across the room in front of the Itinerant Philosopher.  "Aw, c'mon!  Why do you always have to be so serious?  That worried look on your face--it causes wrinkles and ages you faster.  Do you have any idea how much better-looking you would be if you worried less?"

Dr. Wraxtiorre pshawed loudly.  "Oh, yeah, and in addition to not understanding the dangers of irresponsible blogging, you are also being recalcitrant in your refusal to listen to my warnings and concerns!"

I shrugged and sneered, "So, now isn't a good time to discuss my blurb called The Wandering Reporter, in my book, Mangled Doves, which is no longer on sale for 40% off at Lulu.com?"

"No.  Now is the time to discuss another article in that Opposing Viewpoints book, Mass Media, or that other book, We've Got Blog, by John Rodzvilla and Rebecca Blood."

The CEO harrumphed and sat down cross-legged on the floor, pulling at the Itinerant Philosopher's sleeve.  "C'mon, guys.  You know he's not gonna let this go until we let him get his lecture out."

Dr. Wraxtiorre turned around to face us, keeping our view of the picture he had been studying blocked.  "Look, it's a simple premise that too many authoritative figures find it way too easy to ask you to sidestep.  'But those with a stake in the public perception of an issue--as working professionals invariably have--are those we can rely upon least for an unbiased perspective.'  I quoted that from Rebecca Blood's article, Blogs are not Journalism, but that's just a distinction between academic citation and product placement.  What I did earlier when I simply named the book and didn't say anything about it was mere name-dropping, which is what product placement is.  However, when I cited the article that I quoted, that was acting on my academic responsibility without product placement.  However, in a blog, the authoritative verification that your readers can have for checking your facts is the very links which would amount to product placement.  As a blogger you have to ask yourself:  Are the facts that you cite in your article reflected in an article published by a newspaper which has posted that article online?  Are the arguments you have borrowed from a technical paper actually supported by the content of that technical paper, and is that technical paper available online?  Then it is no outrageous favor to ask that bloggers link their sources when they are available on the web--it adds no extra burden to your reader who doesn't seek that verification, and it invites trust from those readers who do.  For example, one of the articles in that Mass Media book is about the building of a new baseball stadium in Milwaukee being spear-headed by the owner of both newspapers in that city as well as a television and a radio station, and that article is also posted online.  Any blogger who wishes to cite the conflict-of-interest problem revealed by it should link it when they refer to it so that readers can trust that the blogger isn't making up the example in order to support a fictitious accusation."  He paused, looking around triumphantly.

The Itinerant Philosopher stepped into the center of the Dining Area and spoke robustly.  "Another example of distrust with bloggers is the recent mishap with the falsely reported death of Jon Bon Jovi."  He inhaled confidently, not noticing that Dr. Wraxtiorre's scowling face behind him began to deepen in color.  Blindly, the Itinerant Philosopher continued.  "A newbie blogger posted a story reporting the rock star's death, and the Los Angeles Times reported two days later that the blogger's article was very similar to an LA Times article which had reported the death of Michael Jackson.  But, unsurprisingly, the blogger's article has been removed from that blogger's archive--which would render the LA Times' article unverifiable."

I raised my hand meekly.  After waiting for Dr. Wraxtiorre to pause and look at me expectantly, I stammered, "I had the same problem when I wrote the original 'Social Networking and Anti-Consumerism' article, researching the news reports of the deletion of the Boycott BP page from Facebook and its eventual restoration.  The news articles that reported the deletion and its coincident timing with the rally in Washington D.C. provided quotes from Facebook executives that contradicted each other. But when I researched the story six months later, those same news articles on the internet--from different websites even--did not have those quotes that contradicted each other."

Dr. Wraxtiorre pointed at me, as though I had blurted out the correct answer to a baffling riddle that he had been watching us struggle to comprehend for several hours.  "Exactly!  The kind of trust that we have with newspaper reportage cannot be replicated in the internet because web-pages can be modified to no longer reveal the inconsistencies which make cover-ups and illegal maneuvers obvious."

Listening on from the Dining Area's foyer, the Escaped Lunatic clenched his fist and pounded it into his other hand.  "Darnit, now I'll never get to the bottom of this!"

Dr. Eppie Blight did a double-take and raised his hand as if to call a nurse, but immediately thought better of it and lowered his hand to his side shamefully.  He looked disparagingly at Dr. Wraxtiorre and meekly asked, "So, lack of trust with Internet Journalism isn't a failure on the part of the readers, is it?  I mean, if the few, scarce and unpopular providers of genuine journalism on the internet want to be taken seriously, they will need some way to differentiate themselves from the blogosphere?"

The CEO shrugged and thought for a moment, then he fidgeted in agitation.  "So, why were you warning us not to get too elaborate with our reactions to these pictures?"

Dr. Wraxtiorre furrowed his brow again and cupped his hand across his forehead.  "You guys weren't really listening to me at all, were you?"  He shook his head and stepped aside.  "This picture of Trey Ratcliff was taken at the Nuclear Power Plant at Chernobyl, and the worried look on his face is directly related to the number on that Geiger counter that he is holding.

Social Networking & Anti-Consumerism

The lady changed the subject, gently.  "My husband tells me that you're a famous philosopher.  Say something witty or wise."

'Bollywood' Azalea - Color Year Round -Sun or Part-Sun    Dr. Wraxtiorre pointed out the window diffidently, muttering, "The Dog is in the yard, peeing on the Azaleas."

The lady thought for a moment, looking up at the ceiling.  "Nah, I thought you would have said something poignant and inciteful, like something about possession not being the intended consequence of acquisition, and perverting the value of worth.  Or some jibberish like that."

Dr. Wraxtiorre cupped his hand at his forehead and furrowed his brow.  "I think it was something about 'When the manufacture of products are outsourced from those who sell them, then the worth of a product becomes divorced from its value.'  Some economists have taken that as a death-knell for the community which would follow that path, but I think that people are much more resilient than that."

The man in the dark suit sneered, "Hogwash!  The American consumer has always considered itself to be the customer of the products it purchases from the marketplace.  When the people realize that they are not the customers anymore, but rather the product, then the market will be in for some turmoil."  He looked around proudly, as though acknowledging accolades for his intelligence in all matters of finance.

Standing outside the Director of Accounting's office, the CEO turned the doorknob and released his grip on it, allowing the door to creak and whine as it slowly found its way across the floor to the wall.  He stepped in eagerly, purposely, quickly, proudly.  "Hello, everyone.  I'm here now."

Dr. Jeremy Wraxtiorre, the (un)famous philosopher, backed further into the front office and face-palmed himself.  "Ugh!  Not another ego-centric optimist!"

The Director's secretary sneered.  "Is that an observation or a request?"  She looked down at her hands again, where she had been pulling stray hairs out of a hairbrush from her purse.

Dr. Wraxtiorre pointed out the window and abruptly asked, "Look, what's that?"

The Director's secretary jerked her head towards the window and scanned the horizon, the branches of trees, the fence-line, the rows of parked cars, the hedgerows, and the sidewalks for whatever interesting thing or event that Dr. Wraxtiorre was attempting to show her.  While she searched, he furtively pulled a tube of Super Glue out of his pocket and generously sprinkled it across the bristles of the hairbrush.

The CEO held up his hand and announced, "To quote a recently-heralded addition to pop culture:  What a bunch of frickin' morons!  You fools wouldn't know a credit card transaction from a cash withdrawal!  Haven't any of you ever read Lewis Carroll's Symbolic Logic?"

I stepped back from the Director of Accounting and p-shawed dismissively.  "I see that you still haven't bought a copy of Mangled Doves yet."

Once the CEO caught sight of the Director of Accounting, he scowled angrily.  The Director of Accounting was still tied to his chair using heavy ropes, and I had duct-taped his mouth shut.  Sweat rolled down his cheeks to his chin, and dripped noisily onto his shirt.  Once his eyes met the CEO's eyes, the  Director of Accounting flinched visibly.

The CEO waved his hand snobbily.  "I haven't the time to talk about your book, with its silly novella about metafiction!  I am here to teach you about the power of effective economics.  It's a simple logical progression which any child can understand.  Do you remember the axiom that 'The customer is always right?' Well, it still rings true.  Only you have to understand that the consumer and the purchaser of products is not the customer anymore!"

The secretary grunted angrily as she staggered awkwardly across the room, yanking at a hairbrush that was stuck in her hair.  She hopped wildly with every yank at the hairbrush and yelped in agony as more and more hairs were pulled from her scalp.

Ignoring her, the CEO continued.  "A company's job is to earn money, so the customer's job is to pay the company so that it can continue to remain in business.  In the old days, that meant providing a product or service, because people would only pay for a product or service if they actually received one.  But, as the insurance industry began to become a successful enterprise, people learned how to pay for a product or service in the hopes of not receiving the product or service.  While customers were still able to enforce the distinction between product-based and service-based mercantilism, and coverage-based mercantilism, the customer's job changed slightly.  They were now expected to pay for what they called 'Brand Loyalty.'  Marketing had taken hold of the market, and customers also began to be expected to pay for products and services in order to pay for the commercials they liked."

As she struggled blindly with the hairbrush, the Director's secretary leapt fitfully across the room several times, shrieking and whimpering each time she pulled at the hairbrush.  Eventually, she hurled herself onto the Director's desk and rolled over the side as her skirt fell across her face.  As she stood up, she inhaled defiantly and gave one last tug on the hairbrush's handle.  A subdued whimper-scream escaped her lips as the brush tore free from her locks.  Then she inadvertently stepped through the open window.

The CEO's wife lowered her arms and stepped forward in concern.

The CEO stretched upward as he leered out the window at the courtyard below.  The Stoic Cat had just scampered away from the lobby to flee the falling body.  The CEO quietly muttered, "The Dog is in the yard, peeing on the Azaleas."  He grabbed his wife's arm roughly and pointed out the window.

I shrugged.  Dr. Wraxtiorre stepped in, holding his hand out figuratively.  The Director of Accounting wheeled his chair around, pulling at the ropes which tied his arms to the chair's arm.  He leaned forward and tried to shout through the Duct Tape which covered his mouth.  "Mmmmmmmph!   Mmmmmmm-mmmm-mmmph!"

Dr. Wraxtiorre waved off the Director's complaints as he strolled over to the credenza.  "Nonsense.  You can pee later.  Look at me.  I farted and it was partly solid, but I'm okay!"  He draped his boxer shorts across the credenza, smoothing out the fabric so that they would dry faster.

The CEO waved his arm dramatically, freezing his swing as his hand was cupped just above his head.  "You children aren't listening to me.  It all comes down to the fact that the company must kow-tow to the customer, and the customer is the person (or persons, if you will) who keeps the company in business.  People who dump venture capital into a company, or provide it with lots of funds in order to manage startup costs, don't become customers because they have ensured the company continues to exist by making sure that it provides other people with products or services.  However, when people buy stock in a company, they are doing the same thing except they are becoming customers in doing so.  They are buying a product or service of the company--the yield that results from an investment--the dividends you earn from the stocks you own.  And so they have the right to tell the company what to do in order to become more successful, or rather what the person with the most stocks thinks will be more successful than what it is now."

He walked over to the credenza and pushed Dr. Wraxtiorre aside.  Grabbing a highball glass, he clumsily poured a drink in it, spilling Scotch all over Dr. Wraxtiorre's boxers.   "And so, the stockholders dictate the company's actions because they are the biggest customer.  Naturally, when the silly consumers complain about a corporation's actions, they are ignored because they are NOT the CUSTOMER!"

The CEO stepped bravely up to the Director and quickly jerked the Duct Tape off his face.

The Director of Accounting screamed horrifically.  "YEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!  I can't believe that!"

The CEO smugly shrugged and asked, "What?"

    "You defenstrated my secretary!"

The CEO took a swallow from his Highball, winced and inhaled with satisfaction.  "Not to worry.  We'll get you another one.  Just call the temp agency."

Holding my hands up in defense, I backed away from the Porsche in dismay.  "No, no, we are not going to do the Quantum thing here again.  I finished the article series on De-Constructing Quarks!  We came to talk about Economics, not Physics."

The CEO shrugged.  "But I have said my piece.  What more is there to say?"

I looked around, baffled.  "I still don't get the whole 'Consumer is not the Customer' thing.  How can an economy function in a market where the consumer is not the person (or people) providing the company's revenue?"

The CEO's wife stepped forward, arching her back to display her bosom more prominently.  "Take a look at big government.  You pay your taxes to Uncle Sam, but most of the government's activities are funded by lobbysits and PACS, subisidized by illegal corporate donations to campaign funds."

The CEO reached over and covered his wife's face and glared at her sternly.  Then he turned to me with a forcibly calmer and more polite face.  "I think that what she's trying to say is that your taxes may pay for the more basic functions of government like paving roads and building schools, but the more progressive government programs are supported by well-funded marketing PACs who have more experience and clout in matters of international propaganda and long-term environmental goals."  He released the airlock grip that he had on his wife's face, and she staggered backwards while gasping for breath.  The CEO cocked his head apologetically, then returned his gaze to me.  "I think that your Facebook is a prime example of the argument here.  There was a big flap about a year ago when Facebook was considering making its membership a paid subscription, but you so-called customers made a big uproar.  So, Mark Zuckerberg made a subtle change in his revenue structure and turned the consumers of his quote-unquote 'social network' into a product that he could sell to the marketing companies who wanted to buy advertising space on his website.  In a very literal way, the marketing companies became the paying customers and the consumers became a product that he was selling to them."

My jaw dropped in realization that I had been participating in somebody else's marketing scheme.  "So, that's why Facebook is still a free membership website?  Because the revenue comes from somewhere other than the consumers?  Well, what's wrong with that?  If it wasn't free, I wouldn't sign up, so the marketing companies are making money off the fact that they are enabling me to participate with the Social Networking thing.  I don't get why that's a problem."

The Itinerant Philosopher stepped up, waving his hands defiantly.  "No, no, no, you see, that's precisely where the problem is.  When the power structure of an environment is displaced from the people who populate it, then decisions are made with little or no concern for the needs and desires of the consumers.  People are constantly complaining about the fact that Facebook's security changes always default to the least secure settings and members are usually not notified of these changes until fellow members warn them about the Identity Theft dangers which result from this lack of disclosure.  Facebook keeps these defaults on low security so that their true customers--the marketing companies--can have more access to the products that Facebook is selling to them."

Dr. Jeremy Wraxtiorre held up a finger and spoke up meekly.  "So, if Facebook's customers were hungry, and Facebook were a fast-food restaurant . . . "

The CEO answered promptly.  "You would be a slab of ground beef to them.  You are the makings of a cheeseburger that they would wish to eat."

Dr. Wraxtiorre looked down, scratching his chin in thought.
The Itinerant Philosopher nodded.  "Yep, take the example of Lee Perkins, the guy who started the Boycott BP movement which attracted over 800,000 followers on Facebook alone at one point.  In a suspiciously coincidental bit of timing, Facebook's automated TOS-tracking software caused the Boycott BP page on Facebook to be shut down and removed from Facebook during the three days that Lee Perkins was appearing in Washington DC for the Boycott BP Rally that he had spear-headed, organized and spoke for.  Facebook later called the deletion a glitch of technical error which they manually undeleted, but the damage to the Boycott BP movement had been done and Facebook walked away safely without even apologizing because they could blame the censoring act as an unforeseeable glitch."

Dr. Wraxtiorre mumbled something under his breath, still gazing distractedly at the pavement.

The Director of Accounting's secretary looked over and asked, "Well, if their automated systems deleted the page, then why did it coincide with the Rally?  That page had over 800,00 followers for over three months, so why didn't their automated systems delete it before then?"

I held my hand up in a halting gesture, and retorted, "But, didn't anybody complain about the logical conclusion that if the Boycott BP page had been active and popular for several months before it got deleted and suddenly it happens to get caught by this automated system which didn't flag it before, and that timing happened to coincide with the Rally in Washington DC, that somebody was hiding some intentionally timed effort, or somebody incompetent should be fired for permitting such a lapse during all the months that it didn't matter quite so much? Don't they make their Terms of Service clear to their customers?  I mean, even I have a definition of TOS in the Glossary of my book, Mangled Doves."

The Director of Accounting stepped forward, not noticing his secretary sitting up on the roof of his Porsche.  "Ahem," he cleared his throat nervously.  "They did.  Loudly.  But the excuse was made that the glitch which deleted the Boycott BP page wasn't wrong, that the Boycott BP page did in fact violate the rules which the TOS-watching software should be enforcing, and that no problem resulted from the fact that this TOS-watching software didn't flag the Boycott BP page before, but then Facebook put out a memo saying that the deletion was in error--which renders the 'rightful' announcement a political excuse.  But there isn't any formal grievance process for Facebook, is there?"

Dr. Wraxtiorre mumbled something under his breath again.

I turned around antagonistically.  "What!?"  I watched expectantly, waiting for him to repeat his mumblings.  He didn't.  I turned back to the Director of Accounting and interjected, "You know, Yahoo!Answers had the same problem when they outsourced their whole 'Conflict Resolution' Department.  The automated software that they adopted for complaints about TOS-violating content simply deleted the contended content and delivered a 'Notice' email to the person's account who had posted the content, and appeals were apparently rejected by default.  The situation became known as 'apparently random bludgeonings'.  It's one of the reasons that I stopped visiting the service."

Dr. Wraxtiorre mumbled something under his breath again.

I swatted Dr. Wraxtiorre across the back of the head and shouted, "Speak up!"

Rubbing the back of his head scornfully, Dr. Wraxtiorre loudly said, "A Cheeseburger is a place where one notices things like mustard and pickles, especially when they are missing."
